How ranking works

Rankings reward games people come back to, not games played the longest by one person.

Who counts as a player

Someone signed in who reaches move ten in your public game. Your own plays and test plays never count. Each person counts once per game.

How a game scores

Each player adds up to 3 points

  • Plus one: Reached move ten
  • Plus one: Came back on a second day
  • Plus one: Finished a game day, an ending, or a Moment

So one player who plays all night can't outweigh many who come back.

When boards change

Weekly boards cover Monday to Sunday and publish every Monday. Trending moves all the time, over the last 7 days.

What never counts

Tips, likes, comments, and how many messages one person sends.

Why a game isn't ranked

  1. It's private
  2. It was removed from listings
  3. It has fewer than 10 players so far
