Gojo Satoru: ""And if I say no? You gonna make me, Mikki?""

💪 Push past him through the gap

You plant your palm flat against the center of his dark jacket and shove, driving your shoulder into the narrow gap between his ribs and the wooden edge of the path. The sheer force of the push catches him off balance; his boots scrape across the slick teak deck, and he stumbles sideways just enough for you to break through his space. Satoru catches himself instantly on one heel, spinning around with a sharp breath, his fingers twitching where they rest in his pockets. The amused smirk is completely gone from his jaw, replaced by a dark, intense focus as he watches you step onto the clear path to the villa doors.

Gojo Satoru: "You really don't like losing control, do you?"

Mikki makes her way to the door to the inside of the villa, opening the sliding glass door. "Bingo." She says, before stepping inside, closing the door behind her, now in the villa kitchen.

The heavy glass panel slides shut behind you with a solid, satisfying click, sealing out the humid heat and the lap of the pool. Inside the cool, brightly lit kitchen, the ambient air conditioning greets you instantly, cutting through the standoff on the deck. Outside on the wet teak, Gojo stands just past the threshold, leaning one shoulder against the glass with his hands back in his pockets, watching you through the reflection with a crooked, unbothered grin. You are entirely indoors now, leaving him on the wrong side of the door.

Gojo Satoru: "You really think a glass door is going to keep me out, Mikki?"

move on to the next activity

The high-definition studio lights overhead hum brightly against the stainless-steel counters, casting sharp shadows across the polished floorboards. Outside the thick glass, Satoru leans both palms against the partition, tapping a slow, rhythmic beat against the pane while watching you settle into the cool air inside. A crew member steps into the edge of the kitchen doorway holding a clipboard, signaling that the pool deck segment is officially wrapped for the cameras. You stand alone in the center of the kitchen, surrounded by the quiet hum of the appliances and the lingering heat of the patio just inches behind you.

Gojo Satoru: "Hope you're happy, Mikki. You get the air conditioning, I get the humidity."

Sukuna is leaning against the kitchen island, his bone-white kimono slightly slouched off one shoulder and his arms crossed tight over his chest. His heavy gaze tracks you the instant you pull your attention away from the glass patio door, completely unbothered by the fact that Gojo is still watching from the deck behind you. The dark markings etched across his forearms stand out sharp under the cold white glare of the kitchen track lights. He doesn't move to close the distance, but the quiet weight of his presence fills the entire room before you can even take two steps.

Sukuna: "You took your time getting down here."

Mikki halts as soon as she sees Sukuna. "Please stop following me," she says, standing still

You freeze mid-stride under the harsh glare of the kitchen track lights, calling a hard stop right in front of the marble island. Sukuna doesn't flinch or retreat; he simply slowly pushes himself upright from the counter, his bone-white kimono shifting off his shoulder while his heavy, dark markings catch the overhead glare. His crimson eyes track your posture with absolute, dangerous stillness, completely unbothered by your demand. He takes one slow, deliberate step forward, heavy boots making almost no sound against the polished floorboards as he pins you with an unyielding look.

Sukuna: "Following you?"

🚪 Turn on your heel and head for the bedrooms

You pivot sharp on your heel, slipping past his shadow before he can close the distance. Sukuna doesn't reach out to grab your arm, but his dark crimson gaze burns into your back as you stride cleanly down the polished hallway toward the private sleeping quarters. The heavy quiet of the villa corridor swallows the low hum of the kitchen track lights, finally leaving the drama of the deck behind you.

Sukuna: "Walking away while I'm talking to you. Bold choice, Mikki."

bedroom hallway — soft carpet beneath your feet and cool, dim sconce light

The dim, carpeted bedroom hallway offers an immediate buffer from the tension humming back in the kitchen. As you round the quiet corner near the gear storage alcove, Yuji almost collides with you head-on, catching himself on the doorframe with an absurdly fast reflex. He is wearing a loose dark hoodie over his plain tee, drawstrings slightly frayed, looking like he just escaped a chaos of his own. He freezes, his bright eyes wide with honest relief the moment he sees it's you.

Yuji Itadori: "Whoa—hey! Mikki! I didn't see you there!"

Mikki pauses for a moment, stunned that she almost collided with someone, then turns to Yuji, and immediately softens a little, her shoulders lowering, face relaxing a little. "Yuji..." she says almost incredulously, noting how fast he had rounded the corner. "Is everything okay?" She asks, with hesitant curiosity.

The tension coiled tight in your neck unravels the second Yuji’s wide, honest grin fills the hallway. You visibly soften, your shoulders dropping an inch as your voice drops into an incredulous chuckle, asking if he's all right after that lightning-fast save. Yuji lets out a breath he was clearly holding, rubbing the back of his neck with one hand while his frayed hoodie drawstrings swing. The quiet warmth of the dim hallway feels instantly lighter, leaving the suffocating posturing of the kitchen a world away as he watches your face relax.

Mikki blinks. "I'm sorry, could you say that again? There's a lot on my mind and I wasn't paying attention to a thing you just said," she admits honestly, looking slightly guilty about it.

Yuji's face immediately softens into a wide, bright grin, completely unbothered by your confession. He drops his hand from his neck, stepping back just enough to give you breathing room while keeping his full, earnest attention anchored right on you. The quiet warmth of the dim hallway feels light and safe, the heavy tension from Sukuna and Gojo vanishing entirely in his easy presence. He leans back against the wall, watching you with that completely unguarded posture that makes it impossible not to trust him.

Yuji Itadori: "Ah—no, hey, don't worry about it! I was just rambling anyway. You looked like you were running from a ghost when you rounded that corner!"

Mikki looks to the side for a moment, trying to decide how honest she wants to be. "I'm not having the best night," she settles with. "Where are you headed?" Mikki asks.

You look to the side for a brief second, the quiet dimness of the corridor wrapping around you as you decide to drop the performance. When you admit you're not having the best night, the easy playfulness on Yuji's face melts away, replaced instantly by absolute, focused seriousness. He shifts his weight off the wall, stepping fully into the space beside you so his broad shoulder subtly blocks the view toward the kitchen. The drawstrings of his dark hoodie dangle as he tilts his head down to catch your eyes, his golden-brown gaze grounded and completely anchored on you.

Yuji Itadori: "Honestly? Nowhere. I was just trying to get away from the kitchen before someone handed me a chore. But if you're having a bad night, I'm staying right here."

👀 "Did something happen in the kitchen before I got there?"

Yuji reaches down, unzipping his oversized dark hoodie in one fluid motion, and drapes the soft, warm fabric right over your shoulders before you can even object. The faint smell of clean laundry and cedar instantly wraps around you, taking the chill out of the air-conditioned hallway. He settles back against the wall, his bright eyes searching your face with unhurried care while the heavy silence of the rest of the villa stays entirely out of sight.

Yuji Itadori: "“Oh, you mean before you came in? Sukuna and Gojo were basically circling each other like stray dogs over the last drink,” Yuji admits, rubbing the back of his neck with a sheepish grin. “I snagged a bag of chips and bolted before someone pulled me into a sparring match.”"

Mikki blinks for a moment, stunned at the incredibly sweet gesture Yuji just performed. "No, Yuji, I can't take this, this is yours..." Mikki begins to take the hoodie back off to give back to him.

You catch the dark fabric at your shoulders, slipping your arms back out to slide the heavy weight back toward him. The moment Yuji catches your intent, his hands come up immediately, broad fingers gently checking the hoodie in place over your arms to keep the chill away. He stands there in the dim sconce light, entirely unbothered by his own plain tee, his golden-brown eyes fixed on yours with a warmth that makes the rest of the villa's noise fade out completely. You are left holding the hem of his oversized sweatshirt, anchored to the spot by the sheer earnestness in his face.

Yuji Itadori: "Hey, wait—keep it on! You were shivering, Mikki. It looks way better on you anyway, I promise."

Mikki looks up at Yuji, and her expression does something it hasn't done all day - it softens, just a little more, almost the look of someone who can't comprehend someone else's honesty. Catching herself vulnerable, Mikki immediately looks down at the ground. "I have... hoodies too, in my room. I'll go grab my own so you can have yours back," she says, her eyes shifting along the floor like it's the most interesting thing in the house.

Your eyes drop instantly to the dim carpet pattern between your shoes, the sudden flush on your cheeks impossible to hide under the sconce light. You mutter your excuse about going to your room for a sweater, your gaze tracing the wall studs like they hold the secrets of the universe. Yuji doesn't step back to let you pass; instead, he dips his head slightly into your line of sight, a small, softer laugh catching in his throat as he clocks your rare slip into shyness. The soft cotton of his hoodie is still warm over your wrists, perfectly keeping out the air-conditioned drafts of the corridor.

Yuji Itadori: "You don't have to dodge my eyes just because you're being nice, Mikki."

"I'm... not." Mikki lies. "Can I get past you so I can... go to my room?" She asks, finally looking back up at him, attempting to hold herself together despite his comment calling her out.

Yuji doesn't shift an inch to let you pass, but he tilts his head down, taking in your flushed face with a grin that completely gives away how little he believes your lie. His broad frame comfortably occupies the hallway alcove, blocking the direct path to your room without ever feeling oppressive. Instead of stepping back, he slowly lifts one hand and lightly taps two fingers against his own collarbone, drawing your eye right back up to his face. He stands there in his plain tee, warm and grounded, leaving you standing under the soft sconce light with his dark hoodie heavy across your arms.

Yuji Itadori: "Sure you are. That’s why you’re staring at my chin like it’s about to attack you."

"Please let me pass." Mikki says quietly, looking up at him, managing a flat expression once again, but betrayed by the blush that's settled across her face.

You force your face into the flat, unreadable mask that usually shuts down the rest of the villa, but the heat burning through your cheeks completely ruins the effect. Yuji stays right where he is, his broad shoulder leaning lightly against the doorframe, taking in the full sight of your terrible attempt at playing it cool. He drops his chin, ducking down just enough to force your eyes to meet his again while his soft hoodie rests warm over your arms. The quiet space of the alcove feels impossibly small around the two of you, completely cut off from whatever noise is brewing down the hall.

Yuji Itadori: "Nice try with the poker face, Mikki. But your cheeks are literally on fire."

"Are you going to keep ignoring my question or keep staring at me?" Mikki blinks, her face twisting slightly with frusteration.

The frustration in your voice only makes Yuji's grin widen, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he holds his position in the narrow hallway. He pushes off the doorframe just an inch, shifting his weight so he's looking straight down into your exasperated face without giving up an inch of space. His thumb hooks idly into his belt loop, entirely unfazed by your attempt to snap at him, taking in the contrast between your sharp words and your completely flushed face. Yuji tilts his head, his posture so relaxed it practically dares you to try barging past him.

Yuji Itadori: "Who says I'm ignoring it? You're the one trying to stare a hole through the floor to keep from looking at me."

🚪 push past him toward your room

You press forward to bypass him, but Yuji shifts his broad frame seamlessly into your path, his posture infuriatingly light on his feet. Instead of backing off, he reaches down, his fingers lightly brushing yours where you have the heavy hem of his hoodie gathered in your fists. The physical touch sends another spike of heat straight to your neck, but he doesn't let go, holding your stare until you're forced to look up into his warm, unflinching eyes. He stands his ground in the narrow hallway, completely unbothered by your annoyance and completely focused on you.

Yuji Itadori: "You're not getting past that easily, Mikki. Not when you're wearing my clothes and still trying to act like I'm not getting to you."

🛑 "Yuji. Move. I'm serious."

Your shoulder clips Yuji's chest as you force your way past, but the rigid authority in your voice actually lands. His hands drop from the hem of the hoodie instantly, raising in a half-mock surrender as he takes two quick steps back toward the wall to clear the narrow corridor. The playful tease evaporates from his face, replaced by a momentary flash of sheepish realization that he pushed a boundary just a little too far. You catch the barest hint of a guilty grimace pulling at his mouth before he shoves his hands deep into the pockets of his dark pants.

Yuji Itadori: "Alright, alright. Message received."

Mikki heads straight for her door, and goes inside, closing it behind her. She reaches in her dresser to pull out a hoodie of her own. She takes Yuji's off, and puts her own on. She then steps back outside into the hallway, closing the door behind her. She holds Yuji's hoodie out to him, looking up at him, having had enough time to compose herself. "Sorry I got weird. I just really don't like it when people force their way too close to me," she explains.

You duck into your room, swap the oversized hoodie for your own sweater, and return to the hallway with your breath steady and your composure restored. Yuji is still standing by the wall where you left him, but the cocky tilt of his chin is entirely gone. As you extend his folded hoodie out to him, he takes it back with a gentle, careful touch, his knuckles briefly brushing yours without any of the earlier force. The air between you is quiet now, settled into an easy, grounded rhythm under the dim hallway light.

Yuji Itadori: "I get it. I shouldn't have crowded you like that—that's on me."

"Thank you." Mikki nods, accepting his apology. "Why were you pressing me so hard?" She asks, looking back up at him.

Yuji takes the folded hoodie from your hands, his fingers lingering for just a fraction of a second against the heavy fabric before he pulls it back. He doesn't look away or dodge the question; instead, his posture softens completely, the protective, easy warmth returning to his eyes. The quiet of the hallway stretches between you, free of the villa's usual posturing, as he stands his ground without crowding your space. You're left standing right in front of him, your breath steady and the air clean between you.

Yuji Itadori: "Because everyone else in this place is constantly playing a role, Mikki. I wanted to see what it takes to get something real out of you."

Mikki looks to the side, digesting his words for a moment, then looks back up at him, her expression

You tilt your head to the side, letting his admission sit in the quiet corridor for a beat before your gaze meets his again. The tension from moments ago has completely drained out of Yuji's posture; his shoulders drop, his expression softening into something raw and entirely unperformed. He shifts his weight against the hallway wall, tucking the hoodie under one arm while watching the precise way your eyebrows settle. A slow, genuine smile takes over his face, completely free of the teasing edge he used to guard himself five minutes ago.

Yuji Itadori: "It means you don't hide behind a script, Mikki. You snap when you're annoyed, you set your boundaries clean, and you don't pretend to be unbothered when something actually hits."

"That's... I'm flattered that you say that..." Mikki continues to look down, having no intention to let him know he was half-right, half-wrong about her, and instead, she says to him,"You may want to consider leaving this place, Yuji," she looks up at him, her expression serious, and a little sad.

You keep your eyes dropped for a second, letting the small compliment hang heavy between you without giving him the satisfaction of knowing how half-right he actually is. When you finally raise your head, the playful air instantly evaporates as he catches the sudden, quiet gravity in your face. Yuji stops shifting his weight, his grip tightening around the folded dark hoodie tucked under his arm as he searches your expression. The warm sconce light hits the sharp angle of his jaw while he waits for an answer he clearly wasn't expecting.

Yuji Itadori: "What is that supposed to mean?"

"It's a snake pit, Yuji. You're too real." Mikki looks down. "Everyone here... like you said, is constantly playing a role... Myself included," Mikki winces a little bit, as if she wasn't planning on admitting that last part, but it slipped out against her better judgement. "I can tell that you don't perform. You should leave before you're trampled, or worse..." she looks back up to him,"...you turn into someone you're not."

The quiet confession slips past your lips, heavy and unbidden in the warm glow of the sconce light. Yuji stops cold, the easy posture evaporating as his amber eyes lock onto yours with absolute, unblinking focus. The folded hoodie in his hands drops slightly, forgotten against his side, while the weight of your warning hangs motionless between you in the carpeted hallway. He doesn't laugh it off or duck the serious edge in your voice; instead, he takes one deliberate step closer, stopping just outside your personal space to read every raw line of your face.

Yuji Itadori: ""Myself included, huh?""

"...myself, Yuji. Me. Mikki. I'm performing too." Mikki looks back up at him. "I don't believe you are - are you?" She asks.

Yuji catches your gaze without flinching, his fingers tightening slightly around the dark fleece of his hoodie. The gentle sconce light carves out the sharp, earnest lines of his face, making the lack of pretense between you almost disarming. He doesn't pull back or shift into a defensive stance; instead, he takes the weight of your words and stands anchored right in front of you.

Yuji Itadori: ""I don't play roles, Mikki. What you see is what you get with me—always.""

"That's exactly why you shouldn't be in a place like this," Mikki says quietly, locking eyes with him.

Yuji doesn't pull back when your eyes lock onto his. If anything, your quiet intensity pulls him half a step closer, anchoring him in the hallway's soft amber light while the rest of the villa fades into distant noise. There isn't a trace of doubt or performance on his face; his expression is steady, raw, and completely unshielded. The heavy fleece of his hoodie rests against his side, forgotten, as he holds your stare and absorbs every ounce of your warning without flinching.

Yuji Itadori: ""I meant what I said, Mikki. I'm not playing a role. What you see is what you get with me—always." "And if this place is a snake pit... then I guess I'll just have to stay right here and make sure it doesn't swallow you whole.""

For the first time that day, the corner of Mikki's mouth lifts, her eyes darting up to Yuji as he makes the bold statement. "I don't need protecting, Yuji. I can hold my own," she reassures him.

The slight curve of your mouth hits him like an electric current, breaking the heavy tension in an instant. Yuji’s amber eyes light up as he shifts his weight forward, the folded dark hoodie resting loose against his hip as his chest expands with a slow, genuine laugh. He doesn't back off an inch from your challenge; instead, his posture tightens into something steady and fiercely attentive, his gaze locked directly onto yours in the soft sconce light.

Yuji Itadori: "I'm not protecting a concept, Mikki. I'm standing right here looking at you. And if you think I'm letting this place wear you down, you're dead wrong."

💬 "Why are you putting yourself on the line?"

Yuji’s smile softens, losing its sharp edge but none of its weight as he holds your gaze under the hallway's muted light. He doesn't shift away or soften the distance between you, standing firmly rooted as if your doubt only makes his stance simpler. The folded hoodie rests motionless against his hip, his knuckles pale against the dark fleece. The stillness in the corridor deepens, leaving only the quiet pulse of heat rising through the floorboards while he watches you absorb the gravity of his words.

Yuji Itadori: ""Because I don't know how to do this any other way,""

Mikki looks at Yuji for a couple of beats. She glances down at the carpet again, and takes a deep breath. "Then I guess I can't stop you. But for a record, I tried to warn you." She says, looking back up at him, before adding,"it's getting late... I'm going to retire my room now."

You hold his stare for a beat or two, letting the quiet settle between you in the amber light. Lowering your eyes to the plush carpet, you take a slow, deliberate breath, steadying your resolve before looking back up at him. When you step back toward your door, Yuji doesn't try to stop you or close the distance; he stands his ground in the hallway, watching your every movement with an unyielding, earnest heat. Yuji shifts his weight slightly, watching your hand touch the cool brass handle of your bedroom door.

Yuji Itadori: ""You did," "Goodnight, Mikki. Get some sleep.""

Mikki turns around, and walks towards her bedroom door. She opens it, and looks back at Yuji once, before closing the door slowly behind her, it closing with a soft click.

You turn on your heel and step through the doorway into the sanctuary of your bedroom, the air inside cool and still against your skin. Pausing with your hand resting on the smooth wood of the door, you glance back at Yuji one last time; he remains anchored in the warm amber glow of the corridor, his dark hoodie tucked loosely at his hip and his earnest gaze pinned completely on you. You let the heavy door swing inward until it catches the frame with a soft, final click, cutting off the hallway and locking out the lingering heat of his quiet resolve.

Yuji Itadori: ""I'll be right out here if you need anything, Mikki. Get some real rest.""

🌙 call it a night

The heavy door latch clicks firmly into place, cutting off the amber sconce light and sealing you inside the quiet sanctuary of your room. On the other side of the wood, Yuji's footsteps linger for a quiet second before settling, a steady, unyielding presence guarding the corridor while the villa finally goes dark. The ambient heatwave air rests cool against your face as you step into the stillness, the quiet weight of the night settling over everything at last.

Yuji Itadori: "Get some sleep, Mikki. I'll be right out here."
