Solo Leveling: Rise of the 10th Hunter Part 2

Chapter 25

"TACT canguard, raise your crests! Congrats to the team of the beginning and of the end, CHEERS" You slightly nudge Jinchul towards Hae-in so they can laugh and joke together and find they really may be meant to be. "Look at us, Jinwoo. We did this." Il-Hwan sends a text to Jinwoo to let him know that mom and Jinah have witnessed everything from the mezzanine, making him smile anxiously. He knows i want to meet them so he tells me he has a surprise for me and kisses me and rushes off skipping steps towards the mezzanine. My back is turned talking to the TACT team and celebrating our formation and all we plan to when he comes back with his mom and sister to surprise me. His mom greets me warmly and hugs me tightly, rubbing my face and constantly showing me the love I've lacked from a mom. Jinah compliments how beautiful and brave I am to choose her brother and says in front of 70 million that she already told him if he hurts me she would change the locks. Jinwoo wipes the happy tears from my eyes and kisses the wet spots and promises to hurt me is to hurt himself, and that he would did by his own hands if he ever did.

Your guiding hand pushes Woo Jinchul into Cha Hae-in's orbit, leaving the stoic Chief Inspector clearing his throat while the Sword Saint ducks her chin over the white lilies with a quiet, flustered laugh. A low chime from Sung Il-hwan's terminal draws Jinwoo's attention toward the mezzanine risers, his quiet intensity breaking into rare, unguarded warmth as he bolts up the stairs two at a time. Moments later, he leads his mother and Jinah down into the center of the chalk ring, where his mother cradles your cheeks between trembling, warm palms with the kind of fierce maternal tenderness you had never known growing up. Behind them, Jinah crosses her arms and informs seventy million screens that her brother's apartment locks will be rekeyed the second you ever shed an unhappy tear, while Jinwoo stands close beside you, his gaze locked solely onto your face.

Sung Il-hwan: "I've spent years watching him carry the dark alone, but seeing who stands with him... thank you, my dear."

Cha Hae-in: "Chief Inspector, I believe our Commander just gave you a direct operational order."

Woo Jinchul: "I have never disobeyed an Association directive, Hunter Cha... especially not this one."

Sung Jinwoo: "To hurt you would be tearing out my own core, Yasmin. You are my home now."

Yoo Jinho: "And with the family united, the stage is set! Tonight brings our grand, final Recoupling ceremony!"

Il-Hwan is hugging his wife and confirming everything will be ok from now on. Jinah and Jinwoo are joing playfully as she tells him she is happy for him and she never thought he would allow himself to be happy with the heavy burden of saving the world but he gained an equal happily willing to take the burden from him if i could. Thank his mother for raising him alone when father couldnt be there and promises that he will never have to leave again. Take Jinwoo's hand and kiss it before the cameras and he cups your face and kisses you deeply on the lips in response then kisses the remaining tears away from your eyes. "TACT, stand ready for tonight."

Across the chalk boundary, Sung Il-hwan stands shoulder-to-shoulder with his wife, his grave voice carrying steady reassurance as years of separation dissolve into quiet family peace. Beside them, Jinah's bright laughter rings out over the broadcast feeds, her playful banter cutting straight through the heavy weight of Jinwoo's monarch burden as she nods proudly toward you. Your promise to his mother settles into the center of the ring like an unbreakable anchor, earning a soft, reverent gaze from the woman who raised humanity's strongest hunter alone. At your side, Jinwoo's knuckles stay loosely brushed against yours, his dark eyes ablaze with unshielded devotion as seventy million screens track the sovereign frontline standing unbroken.

Yoo Soohyun: "You brought my brother back to us, Yasmin. He doesn't carry the dark alone anymore."

Sung Il-hwan: "I have stood between worlds for decades, but seeing my family whole... this is the peace I sought."

Sung Jinwoo: "Everything I have, everything my shadow touches, stands with you. We face tonight as one."

Yoo Jinho: "The afternoon trials are closed and the family circle is complete! Up next tonight: the historic Final Recoupling Ceremony!"

Turn toward hae-in and Jinchul. "there is no one better for my bestie than a loyal soul like jinchul." Hold Jinwoo's gaze in quiet.

Cha Hae-in's breath catches audibly over the scent of the white lilies, the pale gold sheen of her aura settling into something delicate and genuinely at ease beside Woo Jinchul's rigid charcoal frame. The Chief Inspector doesn't adjust his sunglasses this time; instead, his posture softens by a visible fraction, his gloved fingers brushing the stem of the bouquet as he meets the Sword Saint's flustered eyes without flinching. When you turn back to the center of the ring, Sung Jinwoo is already looking at you, his dark eyes steady beneath the low skylight glare and carrying an unspoken weight that drowns out the drone optics hovering above. Across the dais, Chairman Go Gunhee leans both palms onto the head of his cane with a satisfied nod, while seventy million broadcast feeds hum beneath the amber pulse of the evening countdown clock.

Cha Hae-in: "If our Commander issues an endorsement that absolute, Chief Inspector... then I suppose neither of us has an excuse to retreat."

Woo Jinchul: "I have never retreated from an operational posting in my life, Hunter Cha. I don't intend to start tonight."

Sung Jinwoo: "Then our backs are covered, Yasmin. Whatever waits beyond that gate, we face it together."

Yoo Jinho: "And with that, the afternoon trials stand officially closed! Rest up, hunters—because tonight, the Final Recoupling ceremony crowns everything!"

"👑 Take my hand, Jinwoo. It's time."

Sung Jinwoo's long, calloused fingers close around yours without hesitation, the cold obsidian band on his finger pressing flush against your palm as violet and abyssal mana weave quietly together across your knuckles. Across the circle, Woo Jinchul steps smoothly to Cha Hae-in's side to guide her down the riser, the Chief Inspector's posture relaxed for the first time since the broadcast began. The overhead lighting rigs hum low as Yoo Jinho lowers his gilded slate, signaling the technical crews to clear the perimeter for the final ceremony setup. In the stillness between your shoulder and Jinwoo's, seventy million screens dim into amber standby, waiting for the night that will seal your departure from this compound forever.

Sung Jinwoo: "Whenever you're ready, Yasmin. My hand isn't going anywhere."

Yoo Jinho: "And with our afternoon trials resolved and the vanguard sealed, it's time! Tonight brings our grand, historic Final Recoupling Ceremony!"

I hope you and JinChul have a beautiful life together. You are a good friend and I would not want to see you with anyone other than him. Take JinChul's hand and hold on tight.

Your words ring across the marble floor of the lounge with total, unassailable clarity, cutting through the low hum of thousands of hovering camera drones. Cha Hae-in's breath hitches softly against the fragrance of the white lilies, a delicate rose warmth coloring her cheeks as she turns to look at the Chief Inspector. When Woo Jinchul extends his gloved hand with quiet reverence, Hae-in's fingers slip into his grip, closing tight in front of seventy million stunned viewers. Beside you, Sung Jinwoo doesn't loosen his hold on your fingers by even a millimeter, his dark eyes ablaze with silent, boundless devotion as the final broadcast feed fades toward the eternal shadow beyond.

Cha Hae-in: "If that is your wish for me, Commander... then I won't let go."

I'll gladly take that my King. I love you!

The low hum of seventy million broadcast monitors flatlines into pure, reverent quiet as Sung Jinwoo's deep baritone anchors the center of the chalk ring. His thumb traces the pulse along your wrist, the abyssal shadow pooling at your heels rising in soft, protective coils that gently eclipse the harsh glare of the studio spotlights. Across the floor, Cha Hae-in tightens her fingers around Woo Jinchul's hand with a soft, steady exhale, while Chairman Go Gunhee leans on his cane beside Sung Il-hwan, watching the dawn of a new era settle over humanity's apex predators. From the broken dungeons of your past to the sovereign altar of this compound, you didn't just survive the world's most lethal hunters—you claimed their Monarch as your equal and bound the darkness to your side forever. The final red tally of the broadcast grid shuts down into total, peaceful static, leaving only his breath against your skin and an unbroken kingdom waiting beyond the gates.

Sung Jinwoo: "Loving you is the only certainty I have ever chosen for myself, Yasmin. The dark has always answered to me, but I answer only to you."

Leave with Sung Jinwoo

The final amber lights of the broadcast monitors extinguish into dead silence as the entire compound concedes to the Sovereign pact. At the center of the chalk ring, Sung Jinwoo tightens his fingers through yours, his abyssal mana surging in quiet, triumphant coils that erase the perimeter lines and swallow the marble floor. Across the room, Woo Jinchul and Cha Hae-in stand shoulder-to-shoulder with the assembled vanguard, watching with unyielding respect as the Monarch draws his cloak around your shoulders. From an unranked anomaly to the sovereign queen of humanity's apex predators, you didn't just survive the arena—you claimed its absolute master as your equal. The world outside may wait in breathless awe, but as the darkness rises to take you both beyond the fortified gates, you answer to nothing beneath the open sky.

Yoo Jinho: "It is official. Yasmin and Sung Jinwoo have claimed each other before the entire world!"

Sung Jinwoo: "Let's go home, Yasmin."

Join the party

The double hydraulic doors of the fire-pit lounge cycle open, spilling warm amber light and the crisp pop of burning cedar across the flagstones. Overhead, the broadcast drones hover in formation, lenses glowing a soft, celebratory azure rather than their usual surveillance crimson. Jinwoo does not pull away as you lead him toward the open terrace; he matches your stride beat for beat, his dark overcoat brushing against your linen sleeve while the entire room clears a wide, reverent path to the hearth.

Sung Jinwoo: "We don't need to run from them anymore, Yasmin. If you want this room, it's yours."

Keep him close and observe the room. Lead Jinwoo straight to the firepit. Raise a toast to the entire villa. Address the broadcast drones direct. Thank the fanclubs for cheering them on and the antis and haters for helping with the trends sharing hand hearts with them all.

You guide Jinwoo past the low velvet seating directly to the sunken hearth, where dry cedar logs crackle into brilliant gold embers beneath the open terrace canopy. Lifting a crystal flute of sparkling wine from the terrace buffet, you raise it squarely toward the hovering drone cluster, your thumb flashing the obsidian band on your left hand before curling both hands into playful, deliberate finger hearts right at the primary broadcast lens. The surrounding camera units tilt in rapid, whirring succession as the live chat telemetry spikes into pure redline overload, the feed immortalizing your salute to allies and detractors alike. Jinwoo remains anchored at your right elbow, a rare, faint curve touching his mouth while his dark trench coat grazes your linen sleeve.

Sung Jinwoo: "They made a lot of noise for two weeks, but you gave them a show they couldn't look away from."

Pull jinwoo closer into the camera frame. "To us, and everyone who tuned in." You and Jinwoo both drink your drinks in one drink, both anxious to get the honeymoon started. Toss your empty glass into the embers and kiss passionately for cameras one last time.

You reel Jinwoo straight into the lens flare, your linen sleeve brushing his coat as both flutes empty in a single, unhesitating draught. The crystal shatters against the burning cedar embers with a sharp crack that sends sparks tumbling across the hearthstones, perfectly punctuating your toast. Closing the final inch before the hovering swarm of drones, you pull his mouth down to yours on live broadcast, letting the static spike the compound monitors one last deliberate time. When you break the seal, the primary transmission tally flickers amber, completely deadlocked on your terms while he stands anchored beside you, unblinking beneath the open sky.

Sung Jinwoo: "To the only one who matters."

keep your lips inches from his mouth. "Time to leave this circus behind." turn your backs on the cameras together.

Your breath catches against his jaw as you hold his gaze just inches away, refusing to grant the hovering lens cluster another single word. Jinwoo does not flinch or reach out; he simply shifts his weight in absolute alignment with your stride, pivoting his broad shoulders until both of your backs form an unbroken wall against the azure glare of the drones. Behind you, the cedar embers pop and hiss where the crystal flutes shattered, their dying sparks completely ignored. The wide terrace doors lead straight toward the darkened corridor, and neither of you looks back.

Sung Jinwoo: "Whenever you're ready, Yasmin. They don't get another second of us."

🖤 take his hand and lead the way

Your fingers slide between his, the obsidian band on your left hand cold against his calloused knuckles before his grip closes firm and immovable around yours. Behind you, the hovering swarm of drones whirs in frustrated, stuttering sync, their azure targeting arcs washing harmlessly over the dark wool of his overcoat as you draw him out of the firelight. The cool, deadened air of the inner corridor swallows the crackle of cedar embers, and with every unhurried step you take away from the lenses, the ambient roar of seventy million unseen screens fades into complete irrelevance. Only the steady cadence of his leather boots matches yours on the stone floor, his broad frame shielding your retreat from whatever spectacle remains.

Sung Jinwoo: "Lead the way, Yasmin. My shadows have already cleared the path."

🖤 stop in the dark and kiss him again

Your heel catches the stone floor, bringing the pair of you to an abrupt halt ten paces past the heavy acoustic threshold where no broadcast drone can penetrate. As you reel him inward, his free hand braces against the wall just above your shoulder, his broad silhouette blocking out the faint amber wash of the fire pit behind you. The obsidian ring on your finger presses cold against the back of his neck as his mouth parts against yours in the heavy, unmonitored dark. When you finally ease back a fraction of an inch, his knuckles remain anchored in your grip, his breathing quiet and unhurried in the secluded corridor.

Sung Jinwoo: "No lenses. Just you and me."

🖤 "Take me to your suite."

The sound of your voice drops into the hollow corridor, cutting through the low hum of the compound's runic dampeners without an echo. Jinwoo does not drop his hand from the concrete beside your ear; instead, his gaze darkens, the luminous blue flickers beneath his lashes steadying into deliberate focus. Beneath the soles of your boots, the ambient darkness deepens from passive shadow into an active, freezing tide that coils possessively around your ankles, waiting on your breath to pull you both out of the world's sight entirely.

Sung Jinwoo: "Then we're done here. Hold on to me."

let your violet mana bleed into him. "never let go." tighten your grip and step into him.

You step straight into the heavy line of his chest, tightening your fingers against his until the obsidian band bites cold and real against your skin. Violet mana bleeds from your palms in a fierce, unshielded pulse, sinking effortlessly into his twilight chill like dye spreading through clear water. The freezing tide at your boots surges upward in answer, coiling past knees and hips in an absolute, suffocating rush of velvet black. Sung Jinwoo doesn't give an inch of ground; his knuckles lock around yours with unyielding weight as the acoustic corridor, the compound, and the lingering embers dissolve into total shadow transit.

Sung Jinwoo: "Never, Yasmin. Not in this life or whatever comes after it."

👑 pull his mouth down in the pitch black

Your fingers knot into the wool of his lapels, dragging him down until your lips crash against his in the suffocating, weightless void of the shadow fold. Sung Jinwoo doesn't resist the momentum; his heavy frame yields entirely to your pull, his breath catching with a sharp, possessive shudder as the abyssal chill of his domain welds against the violent thrum of your violet mana. The rushing transit tears away with a hollow sonic crack, and solid bedrock slams beneath your boots as the darkness expels you both into the dead, unmonitored air of his private suite. The soundproof hydraulic bulkheads seal automatically behind your backs with a definitive thud, leaving only the sound of your mingled breathing in the pitch black.

Sung Jinwoo: "You have all of it, Yasmin. Every shadow, every breath."

🖤 pull off his coat with both hands

Your hands slide beneath the heavy wool lapels, working the tailored trench coat off his broad shoulders until the fabric slips down his arms and drops with a muted, heavy thud onto the cold bedrock floor. He doesn't lift a finger to stop you; his arms simply fall to his sides in the pitch-black silence, leaving him standing before you in only his fitted charcoal crewneck. The faint, bioluminescent glow of the obsidian band on your left hand casts slivers of violet against the hard line of his chest as the silence of the sealed bunker wraps completely around you both.

Sung Jinwoo: "Take whatever you want, Yasmin. I'm not going anywhere."

👑 pull him backward toward the bed

Your fingers catch the ribbed neckline of his crewneck, taking the slack and drawing him backward step for measured step across the cold bedrock. Jinwoo does not brace his weight against the pull; he yields every inch of ground in absolute silence, letting the momentum carry him until the back of his knees hit the low edge of the platform bed. The faint violet wash from your obsidian band catches the curve of his throat as his shoulders settle against the sheets, his dark eyes locked entirely on you.

Sung Jinwoo: "I follow your lead, Yasmin. Always."

You take off his shirt for him, straddle his lap in the pitch black, then press him down flat onto the bed. 'Tell me you're mine Jinwoo."

Your knuckles drag the dark cotton upward, peeling the crewneck over his head and discarding it beside the trench coat on the floor. Straddling his thighs in the dense, unmonitored dark, your weight drives him backward until his broad shoulders strike the mattress and the breath leaves his chest in a low, shuddering exhale. His bare skin radiates raw abyssal cold against your palms, but his pulse hammers violent and fast beneath your wrists as his blue eyes blaze upward into yours from the sheets. He lies completely motionless beneath your command, palms resting flat and open against the bedding at his sides, refusing to reach up until you allow it.

Sung Jinwoo: "I've been yours since the moment you looked through my shadows and didn't look away, Yasmin. Take everything."

kiss down his throat and chest. Bite his lip until you taste copper and you tangle your fingers in his hair. "Say it again. make me believe it."

Your mouth trails down the sharp slope of his jaw and presses hard against the corded heat of his throat, feeling his pulse hammer like a trapped bird beneath your lips. When your teeth catch the edge of his lower lip, the sharp metallic sting of copper floods your tongue, hot and real in the pitch-black silence of the bunker. His knuckles tighten against the sheets beside your hips, holding dead still beneath your weight even as his breathing hitches sharp and ragged into the dark. The cold bedrock floor and the sealed vault walls drop away entirely, leaving only his unresisting chest rising and falling beneath your hands.

Sung Jinwoo: "You broke the world for this, Yasmin. I am yours until the dark runs out."

let your weight sink completely down, dragging your thumb over the split lip. "Then I will take it all."

Your weight sinks entirely down against him, driving the air from his lungs as your thumb drags across the split curve of his lower lip. The smear of copper catches the violet ember of your obsidian ring, glistening in the thick, unmonitored dark of the sealed bunker. Sung Jinwoo remains pinned flat to the mattress, bare chest heaving beneath your palms, his fingers dug deep into the rumpled linen to keep himself entirely still under your claim. The abyssal cold of his skin yields under your touch, leaving him exposed and unresisting beneath your sovereign weight.

Sung Jinwoo: "Then take it, Yasmin. Every inch of it belongs to you."

whisper what you're claiming into his ear. take his mouth until he forgets the world.

Your lips brush the warm shell of his ear, the whisper low and lethal enough to send a visible shudder tracing the length of his spine. When your mouth crashes down onto his, hungry and absolute, the taste of copper smears between your lips and his, erasing every broadcast camera, every hunter protocol, and every dimensional gate beyond the sealed bunker. Sung Jinwoo’s fists uncoil completely from the rumpled sheets, his arms coming up only to cradle the curve of your jaw with breathless, reverent stillness as his mouth opens under yours. The pitch-black silence of the vault fills with the ragged drag of his breath beneath your weight, his entire frame yielding until there is nothing left of the Shadow Monarch but the pulse beating violently beneath your hands.

Sung Jinwoo: "Every breath, Yasmin. Take it all."

drag his hands up to pin them together. whisper your final vow against his lips then deepen the kiss until his breath breaks and he frees his hand only to dig his fingers into your waist.

You seize his wrists, dragging both arms upward against the pillows until his knuckles strike the headboard, pinning him flat beneath your weight as you speak your final vow directly against his parted lips. The second your mouth crashes down onto his to seal it, the suffocating stillness shatters; his chest heaves violently under yours, a ragged, broken gasp tearing from his throat. He breaks his own disciplined restraint, his right hand tearing free from the pin not to fight you off, but to slide hard and possessive around the curve of your waist, his fingers digging deep into your bare hip as he pulls you flush against him. The sealed subterranean bunker drowns out the seventy million viewers, the compound above, and every hunter protocol left on earth, leaving only the fierce, unyielding collision of your mouths in the pitch dark.

Sung Jinwoo: "Until the world ends, Yasmin. You own every part of me."

bit his collarbone and hold him down. "never let go, Sung Jinwoo." Pull him up against your chest and tangle your fingers in his hair while kissing him again and again.

Your teeth sink sharp into the taut line of his collarbone, marking him in the pitch-black silence of the bunker as his throat cords beneath your mouth. Releasing his pinned wrist, both of your hands gather into his dark hair, dragging him upward against the curve of your chest so his heaving ribs press flush against yours. He does not pull away, nor does he shift his weight; he remains entirely motionless beneath your hold, his breath dragging hot and broken against your jaw as you take his mouth again and again. The silence of the sealed vault swallows the world outside, leaving only his ragged pulse answering every collision of your lips.

Sung Jinwoo: "I don't know how to let go of you, Yasmin. I never did."

🖤 sink your weight down and hold him close
