A Heart Beyond Their Reach
Donna made the ultimate choice to prioritize her own emotional safety and walked away from the entire reality show domain, leaving all seventeen sorcerers empty-handed.
I drag my sorry ass out of bed and get a warm shower washing away the tear stains and ruined makeup. Lecturing myself on how badly I fucked it all up with my usual dramatic self. I say outlook "tomorrow its back to cool and casual" no more warmth and love, it hurts my heart".. my voice trails of as the shower washes away thw tears that flow. "He didn't kiss me. He was so close and didn't kiss me... i don't understand how I misread the situation other than He sees me as a friend" I stop talking to myself, finish my shower, dry off and go to bed naked enjoying the cool night breeze from the large wide open patio doors
The warm torrent of the shower washes away the mascara tracks and the salt of your tears, leaving your skin raw and flushed under the stream. You repeat your new mantra aloud into the steam—'cool and casual'—determined never to let your guard down like that again. Stepping out, you dry off and sink into the fresh sheets entirely bare, letting the night breeze from the open patio doors cool your skin while Kento's watch ticks softly on the glass table. High above the patio railing, Momo Nishimiya perches casually on her floating broomstick, a small hand mirror tucked into her lap as she glances down at your open doors with a faint smirk.
Momo Nishimiya: "You know the cameras in the eaves pick up crying even under running water, right?"
🌙 Close your eyes and let sleep take over
Momo's voice floats down through the humid night air, sharp and unbothered, but you pull the cool sheet up over your shoulder and roll onto your side facing the wall. You deliberately relax your jaw, slow your breathing, and let the quiet, rhythmic ticking of Kento's wristwatch on the nightstand drown out her lingering presence above the patio balcony. The faint red glow of the barrier far out over the ocean dims as the villa's nighttime lights kick on, leaving your room steeped in soft, deep shadows. Outside, the sweep of Momo's broom fades into the tropical breeze, leaving you alone with your decisions and a clean slate waiting for sunrise.
Momo Nishimiya: "If you're going to put on a show like that, at least leave the patio doors open so the rest of us get decent ratings."
🌙 Close your eyes and end Day One
Momo's shadow cuts across the moonlight one last time as she banks her broom away from your patio, her exit swallowed by the gentle rustle of palm fronds outside. The heavy silence of your private suite settles around you, broken only by the steady, rhythmic ticking of Kento's analog watch resting on the glass nightstand. You pull the cool linen sheet up to your collarbone, close your eyes against the lingering heat of the day, and let sleep finally claim you.
Momo Nishimiya: "Suit yourself. But tomorrow, the whole villa is going to be watching how you look at Nanami."
🌅 Wake up to Day Two
The steady ticking of Kento’s analog watch on the glass table guides you into a heavy, dreamless sleep, shutting out the villa's lingering chaos. Morning breaks over Dagon's Beach Villa with blinding, golden sunlight spilling across your patio floor and baking the white sands outside. Day Two has officially arrived, and with it, the undeniable reality of facing Kento Nanami after fleeing the pavilion with his timepiece still in your hands. Sitting up in bed, you steel yourself, pulling on the 'cool and casual' armor you promised yourself last night.
Momo Nishimiya: "Get some rest, 'cool and casual.' Day Two isn't going to go easy on you."
⌚ Pick up Kento's watch from the nightstand
Your fingers wrap around the heavy brushed steel of Kento's wristwatch, its faint, rhythmic ticking pulsing cool against your warm palm. Sunlight pours over the polished glass as you lift it from the nightstand, a tangible weight linking you directly to last night's golden hot spring. Leaning casually against the open patio doorframe with her broom resting at her side, Momo cocks her head, her sharp eyes tracking the exact way you hold the timepiece.
Momo Nishimiya: "Still holding onto his watch after declaring yourself 'cool and casual'? That's a bold strategy for morning two, Donna."
"It's just a watch" I walk over to thw patio and close th doors on her face turning the lock. Setting the watch down in my vanity I walk over to my closet pulling out a tight black tank top dress to wear and sliding into my heels. I sit at my vanity applying some light makeup and fixing my hair into a flirty ponytail. I stand and walk to the full length mirror. "This looks good." I glance down at the watch in the vanity and grab it saying "and I need to return you." I walk out my bedroom and join the others in the kitchen for coffee.
"It's just a watch," you say aloud, the cold weight of the metal settling into your palm. Before Momo can launch into another crisp commentary, you step onto the patio, slide the heavy glass door shut directly in her face, and turn the lock with a sharp, decisive click. She stifles an annoyed scoff outside, her broom sweeping upward into the morning air as you turn your back on the balcony.
You set the watch down on the glass vanity, pull a sleek, form-fitting black tank dress from the closet, and slide into your heels. A quick brush of light makeup and a sharp ponytail finish the armor—cool, casual, and completely unbothered. Scooping Kento's timepiece off the marble, you head out of your suite and step directly into the sunlit villa kitchen, where the quiet hum of morning coffee is already underway.
Momo Nishimiya: "Hey! You can't just slide the glass on—"
I walk into the kitchen with a gentle good morning not making any eye contact. I sway my hips as I walk to the coffe and grab a cup of coffee for myself. Adding in one packet of splenda no cream I walk myself and my cup to the outdoor seating area only to discover no one is iut there. I release a soft soothing breath and find a seat that faces the ocean. Setting my cup down a sit, legs crossed and stare at the water, Kento's watch ticking in my lap as a reach for my cup and take a slow sip.
You slip past the kitchen counters with a quiet, measured greeting, keeping your eyes fixed firmly on the espresso machine as you prepare your cup. With one packet of Splenda dissolved into the dark liquid and no cream to soften it, you walk out onto the quiet patio, finding the white wicker deck chairs completely deserted under the morning heat. You sink into a seat facing the turquoise expanse, crossing your legs in your black tank dress as the gentle sea breeze catches your flirty ponytail. The heavy analog watch rests coolly against the fabric over your knee, its steady ticking echoing softly while you lift the mug for a slow, silent sip.
Momo Nishimiya: "If you're trying to hide the fact that you're holding his entire schedule in your lap, sitting where the sun hits the watch glass isn't helping."
☕ Keep sipping coffee and ignore her
The steam from your black coffee curls into the morning sea air as you keep your gaze anchored to the turquoise horizon, intentionally filtering out the figure hovering on the patio. Momo doesn't take the hint—instead, she simply banks her broom around the exterior railing and alights onto the armrest of the adjacent wicker chair with flawless, petty precision. Her high-heeled boots dangle inches from your bare knee, the enchanted hand mirror tucked into her sash catching the brilliant morning glare. She tilts her head, her sharp eyes dropping straight to the heavy analog watch resting against your black dress.
Momo Nishimiya: "You know, for someone trying so hard to project 'cool and casual,' your pulse is practically rattling that stainless steel face against your knee."
