Make your first Moments world

Moments · about 15 minutes

A Moments world is a place your players come back to. They explore your locations, step into short scenes with your characters, and unlock new moments as each relationship grows. No ceremonies, no season clock. Just the world and the people in it.

1Pick Moments and describe your world

Open Create and choose Moments. Describe the world, its mood, the leads, and the one story that runs underneath.

Try this

“A cyber-Egyptian city where the dead text back. Three leads, slow burn, one arc about the coming flood.”

2Write the intro

Tap Intro. This is how players arrive:

  • Opening narration: the first thing they read.
  • The cast, meeting them: who speaks first, and what they say.
  • The question: one question for your player, with a few answers. Each answer sets a tone and gets its own reply.

3Build your deck of moments

The Moments grid is the heart of your world. It's what players come back for. Tap Add moment. Each moment has:

  • a Title and Where it happens
  • a Premise (what's going on) and a Promise (what the player is hoping for)
  • Who's in it, and how close the player has to be to each of them before it opens
  • What it leaves behind: a memory they keep, or something that changes hands

Example

The last ferry · Where it happens: the night docks

Premise: he missed the last ferry on purpose. Promise: find out why.

What it leaves behind: a memory, “the night he waited”.

TipPut at least one moment at every place, so there is always a reason to go there.

4Thread a story arc through it

Open Story arc and write The arc, in a phrase, then its beats. On a moment, pick the Story arc beat it carries. Players feel the bigger story move as they unlock moments.

No. A Moments world has no days to count down and no eliminations. Players step into a moment, and come back for the next one whenever they like.
